ARRI's new Trinity 2 got even more options than the model 1,- and together with the new Ultra Small HD monitor I am all set :-)
It is also possible to use the Trinity as a Gimbal - a Gimbal setup with out having the pan-axis stabilised :-)
Next to The Trinity 2 I got the Artemis 2 steadicam in the toolbox as well if needed.
Other "tools in the toolbox":
- Segway X2 handsfree.
- follow focus set WCU4 +UMC3A+CLM4 motors
With the new Trinity 2 you can roll while going from the floor level to the ceiling if you like :-)
/Please have a look/short video clip at the "Contact" section.
Even though it is showing my Trinity 1 with a roll cage, it gives you an idea of what is possible.
The xARM + the xR3ACH + the xSPINE together with the Trinity = only the floor and the ceiling is the limit :-)
Please have a look at the video at the “customer”-section.
With the new Master Grip two-controller set I am able to control both the tilt and roll - and I can save 6 settings which I can reach during the shoot.
If needed, I'll like to bring the Segway along as well.
With the Segway I can keep up speed with running actors,- or do a following shot, when actors are riding bicycles for example.
- Or sometimes the Segway just gives you a nicer tracking shot,- even if it is just slightly faster than normal walking speed.
I do have the WCU-4 follow focus + the UMC3A + CLM4 motors as well -
Let me know if you like me to bring it along - but yet again, I usually do, because you never know, when you need an extra WCU4 - maybe the Dp want's to controll the zoom, if we are using a zoomlens - and then it's possible, while the B-foto is pulling focus with his WCU4 :-)
The Trinity works well with the Phantom Flex too, as it does with fx the Amira, Alexa LF, Alexa SXT, Red camera's and the Sony Venice :-)
If needed, it is fairly quickly to switch from the Trinity2 to the regular steadicam, Artemis2.
The Trinity together with the Alexa Mini is a very nice setup.
Pro vest - very light and comfortable / keeps me smiling all day - and for sure I am smiling, when I am in good company like this, Rajashekar - mr Phantom Flex, India :-)
